The average 315 days of sunshine per year in Naturno literally call for outdoor adventures! In the valley you hike through apple orchards, along the slopes of the Sonnenberg you meander along irrigation channels, crowned by the challenging peaks of the Texel Group at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. The Merano High Mountain Trail is a hiking highlight. By bike, you will find enjoyable cycle tours along the Adige Cycle Path, pass roads for racing bikes and MTB trails in the high mountains. From jogging and inline skating in the Nature.Fitness.Park® to via ferratas, tennis, rafting, minigolf, sport climbing and paragliding, there's something for everyone!

A stronghold of culture

You will also stumble across sights while walking here. The church of St. Prokulus contains early medieval frescoes, the Prokulus Museum contains the bones of plague victims, Reinhold Messner's Juval Castle is dedicated to the myth of the mountain, the Plauser Totentanz frescoes are the original version of Disney's "The Skeleton Dance" (1929) and the Texelgruppe Nature Park House has an impressive permanent exhibition. The prehistoric Ötzi exhibition at the ArcheoParc in the Schnalstal Valley is also not to be missed. You can see the glacier mummy himself at the Archaeology Museum in Bolzano. The Dolomites, the unique UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site, are also just under an hour's drive from Naturno.
